Jacket looks short to me, but hard to tell without a robo-pose. Or perhaps the jacket's fine but the slacks are hanging too low at the crotch?

I thought this thread would currently be the best place to ask advice on the style and fit of these two suits.

I am about 6', 225#, and wear a size 46 jacket. I'm not svelte, therefore not a lot of waist suppression in the jackets.

I know the pants are too long, but I would like overall opinion on fit of the suits, and which seems to look better on me.

I appreciate any, and all, constructive feedback.

There's actually a couple threads for this.

First one looks like it needs hemmed. Apart from that, I think people like the second better just because of the style.

Looks like the second suit is a bit tight through the waist which causes that > < action on the sides. Also seems a bit roomy in the shoulder area. Also need to hem the trousers and shorten the sleeves. Seems a bit long too actually. Overall, I feels like it's one size big but small at that waist. That's my ameteur opinion. Look for a thread (featured on the main page even!) by Despos and get an opinion worth a damn.

Sorry for the blurry pics - it's THE jacket I've been coveting forever, & it turned up in B&S, just for me - 3 patch pocket SC. I high-fived myself as soon as I saw it.
But still, come on - a suit jacket? You must think I'm mktitsworth.
;)

Well,I thought maybe you got a new Chan blazer. It looks very good for a RTW.

Gnatty I've been looking for a herringbone SC like that. Very nice jacket and combination as usual. Care to share the maker?

Thanks, it's Polo RL

Gnatty, I am a firm supporter of you and your neck, but for some reason this fit is making you look a little rounder about the mid section, and I think it is because of the pants. Is the jacket hiding a pleat?

No, I am just rounder around the mid-section..

Probably a little bit of both. Jacket is a little on the short side, but trousers are also a little on the low waisted side.
