Ignoring basic SF standards today by layering blacks. Black pinstripe jacket / black shirt / black cap toes / dark wash jeans... Lol, could have turned out worse.

Gee dude, it did turn out worse, much worse!!

were you trying to look like Bruce Lee in his fake Chinese Kung Foo movies. That was very 80's

What do the americans say; go figure!! Actually go figure a helluva lot.

    :embar:

Now let me be positive here:
    1. Trousers are too long.
    2. Jacket looks the correct length
3 Jacket sleeves are too long
    4. There are no shirt cuffs showing
5 There is no pocket square
    6. your shirt colour is incorrect.
    7. you do not have a tie to wear with your outfit.

Go fix the suit trousers length and Jacket sleeve length
Buy a white or light Blue or Grey shirt.
Get a really good tie to go with whatever shirt you bought. Use a double four in hand to tie the knot,.and also get a good dimple and boner to go with it.
Get a Pocket Square, white to start and folded

If you not ure how to proceed with any of this, ask.before you get it wrong, not after!

When you have finished, I would love to see the results. :slayer:

Obviously not a great look, but I wouldn't call not wearing a pocket square a major mistake, and I almost always wear a pocket square.

I suppose that unless you want to look like a murder is afoot, follow Mr. Dean's advice!

I'm going to chime in here and say this is fairly ill informed advice which seems from reading it, to be based purely on the "SF unwritten (but set in stone if you want praise) rules" of dress on here.
Firstly he is wearing jeans not trousers, the length is fine for jeans. The sleeves might be 1cm too long but not really a major issue. I hardly ever wear a pocket square after years of wearing them, they are not a necessity in any outfit really, its just each to their own. Again the tie, you (I) wouldn't wear a tie with this at all, it's clearly a business casual outfit given the jeans. Double four in hand and tie boner, don't get me started.....

I wouldn't wear this during the day either I will state (or at night) as I don't wear all that much black, but it would be a perfectly fine clubbing/bar hopping outfit for night time and you would still be better dressed than 99% of the other guys out there. The jacket doesn't fit great on the shoulders and I wouldnt wear pinstripes on a jacket only but I am assuming it is OTR. To tell the guy to "ask before you get it wrong" is just 100% douche though, just let him wear what he wants. If we all dressed like your above points it'd just be 1377 pages of everyone looking the same.

OP, I quite like the last of the shoes also from what I can see.

The colors and fit of the jacket look pretty good, but the shirt needs some work. It is obviously too big for you, judging by the wrinkles on the chest, and thus does not look very sharp. Take it to a tailor. [IMG]

Is this a serious post? Any well fitting shirt that is not skin tight will produce the same wrinkles simply from the forward motion of putting your jacket on. It happens on all of my shirts and is easily remedied from smoothing the fabric out with your hand. Someotherstyle was one of the more advanced posters on here in times past, so you can rest assured he knows what he is doing.

Ok, so I'm late to this show, but AS, gotta ask, are you on the tech side of the world or the b-side?

Yes, it is a serious post. A well-fitting shirt shouldn't have that many wrinkles. It could be made slimmer in the chest, and he'd still have room to breath, but it would look cleaner.

Based on previous whiteboard-inclusive photos, I'm guessing the b-side or c(reative)-side.
