Now that we have my fit pretty dialed back in, here's the newest order for anyone interested... and one of my favorites so far for sure.

VBC Revenge 7 Super 150's Dark Navy Wool.

I went with "standard width" peak lapels with a milanese buttonhole, pick stitching, roped shoulders, slightly lower button stance than the 2 sport coats, 5 button cuff, with midnight blue wood buttons.

On the pants, I chose side tabs vs belt loops and just one pocket in the rear for a wallet.

I might have a small adjustment or two made when I go back for my next suit in September, but those will be very minor.

looks quite nice overall...

pics of pants front and rear w/ jacket off?

I'll get back to with some better shots, but here's a crappy front cell phone shot (sorry, I was being lazy and didn't feel like putting shoes on when I took this). That's honestly where I need the slight adjustments, mainly since these are the first pants I've had made in a few years. I need just a tiny bit more room in the rear and possibly the thighs (I squat more than twice my body weight!), but overall a very good fit. These might be a lower rise than I've gotten in the past, but nothing nuts I think.

My latest commission from Enzo just arrived.

This suit is made from a mid-grey super 150's wool in a glen plaid with light blue overcheck pattern. I went with a house-branded fabric, and I have to admit... it's really nice.

Peak lapels with Milanese buttonhole, roped shoulders, a 5 kissing button cuff (for something different), & flat front trousers with side tabs.

Has anyone else on SF used them recently?

Thanks, and welcome. I had a frank discussion with Enzo Custom when we discussed their coming on board as an affilaite vendor. We will actually have a few testers trying out @Enzo Custom tryon at various locations. They will be comped the suits, but they are otherwise not compensated and will be asked to report on their experiences here. Only one of them is a staff member, but @admin, while not necessarily a guy who wears suits regularly, is also 240 lbs and 6'5", so we thought that it would be a good test on an unusually shaped client.

Cheers,

Fok.
Did anything ever come of this? Would be interested to hear about their experiences.

Two have finished suits. I've spoken to both, and both are quite happy with their suits. One is a huge menswear nerd, the other, more of a "normal" guy. One is going to report on his experience in the journal, another here. Reminds to to ask them to actually get that done!

Looking forward to hearing some others feedback! I may have stopped by an ordered a couple more things last month (Loro Piana single breasted herringbone overcoat and a house fabric hopsack navy blazer)... Will report back when they land.

I used Enzo Custom and put up a review on the journal. Please note, that I don't live near them anymore. As such we would have done more alterations, but I had them ship it to me. I've got to get the back of the suit let out a little for cleaning up the drape, but overall, it fits fairly well, especially considering it was a first iteration and that I have several major defects (dropped shoulder, dropped hip, forward stance, narrow shoulders...)

I will note--the level of customization and adjustments possible is quite impressive. https://journal.styleforum.net/enzo-custom-review-rethinking-the-limits-of-made-to-measure-suiting/

The suit has entered the standard rotation. I just have to adjust the back to clean it up (id est have it let out), and the jacket should be wonderful. I've already got some other fabric on my mind from you guys.

I had a very challenging experience with Enzo - not once, not twice but three times. The third time was a referral for a friend. This was several years ago in DC.

The pros:
Convenient showroom
Customization options
Knowledgable sales rep
Price (I had one of those Living Social / Groupon discounts)

The Cons:
End product - twice had to be re-done and the final still was completely off.
Management - I had to deal with managers/owners who I believed are based in NYC
No positive outcome - although they offered to remake the pieces, I gave up and didn't want to go through hassle.

I'm assuming they have improved. I really enjoyed my experience with my sales rep but utterly disappointed with the final product.

Hi guys-- wanted to update here about my experience with Enzo Custom. I started working with Fok a few years ago, and was definitely a jeans and t-shirt guy. Suits were something I generally avoided, mostly because I'm 6'5, and 235lbs. Anything that fit my length was always billowy and terrible looking.

Enzo's closest location was Charlotte, NC, so I booked an appointment there.

It was in downtown Charlotte near the Spectrum Center and Panthers Stadium. The associate fitting me welcomed me into the shop, and got straight to measuring me.

Their specialist spent around 20 minutes getting all of my measurements. He also noticed that one of my shoulders is higher than the other, and made adjustments to his measurements to deal with it. Even little things, like the thickness of my wristwatch were taken into account.

Once measured, we went over some specifics as to what I wanted. There were tons of options-- more than I realized there would be. Ultimately, we decided on a dark blue herringbone, two button, notch lapel suit with full canvassing. I also opted for a custom shirt in 100% cotton but with an interesting texture. The trousers were flat front with side adjusters and buttons for suspenders. All told, Enzo's specialist spent more than 1.5 hours with me getting measured and making my choices for the suit.

A few weeks later, I got notice that my suit was ready at Enzo, so I popped up to Charlotte for a second fitting, which turned out to be the final fitting. I feel like the suit fit me very well.

As I said, I'm not generally somebody who can find a suit off the rack, and Enzo's associate really made me feel like my issues would be easily taken care of.

I really can't say enough about how thorough the process was. Enzo's guys were really attentive to detail, and made sure I got something that fit well.

I just came across this thread and wanted to add my two cents. I am now up to 10 suits, three sport coats, and five or six odd trousers through Burgan at the DC location. I won't buy tailored clothes anywhere else.

My first suit was, I think, in the summer or fall of 2016. I had taken a new job that was going to require a number of high quality, great fitting suits. I had exhausted OTR (I'm a 52XL off the rack, not many of those hanging around) and didn't love my experiences with a couple made-to-measure places. When I got the first suit back, I liked it fine, didn't love it, and didn't really feel like I had many other options, so I went back for a second suit. The first question Burgan asked me was, what did you like about the suit, and what didn't you like? He nailed the second suit, including the one-piece waist band that Oxxford is famous for. I still wear the second suit in rotation, and I still wear the first one as a backup.

They really will do whatever you want. I'm a pretty thick-thighed fellow, so they sew extra material in the thighs so they don't rub through as quickly.

I just can't speak highly enough of the quality of the products and the service I get.
