A Sam (and David) Hober Tie Appreciation Thread

After all of yesterday's discussion about pics of non-grenadine ties, today's Hober is...the charcoal grey/silver grenadine grossa (6-fold construction)! I'm not posting this to incite mrjester's wrath...I promise.

The sad truth is that I schedule my attire out and I am too nerdy not to abide by my schedule.

I hope mrjester understands.

Here is a non grenadine that has become one of my favorites. It is the powder blue on blue flower silk tie #14-D. Picture is lousy I fear (my self portrait iphone skills need work). Actual color is a bit darker and less shiny.

Repost of part of my collection that includes the 3 flower ties. The red and light blue flower tie does have a bit of sheen but not as much as in the picture. I still prefer the blue and blues.

i have tried many color pants with that SC. a mid gray that is clearly darker than the SC seems to work best. if you like, you can see a similar such example in WAYWRN from yesterday, as i was again wearing that SC.

Received my shipping notice late last night/early this AM for my most recent order. Went with Macclesfield #84, a Navy and Powder Houndstooth, a Navy fina, and a the Powder Blue stripe on midnight grenadine! This brings my total of Hobers up to 7. I'm already thinking about a seven fold grenadine and some diamond weaves for my next order...

Haven't been back here a while and look at the number of posts... That's a great match with the grey striped shirt Mr. Pink! What shirt is that if I may ask?
