Stopped by Leffot yesterday and was surprised at how great the greenwich tobacco chamois wingtip boot looked in person. Anyone own this and can post some pictures in the wild?

I bought this spray few days ago based on multiple reccomendations. Been told that I can safely apply it to any type of leather including shell. Paid around $20 for one bottle at my local shop.

I wore my Indy boots last night and they didn't disappoint. While I didn't find them ideal as walking shoes, they did provide enough comfort for the few hours I had them on. I went down a half size from a 9D to a 8.5D and they fit perfectly. Overall I'm very impressed with the fit and quality of these boots.

Quick question, should I apply some Saphir Reno to soften the leather or just break them in naturally over time without any conditioner?

I recommend using the Renomat to strip away all old polishes before converting one's shoes to an all-Saphir regiment or every three to six months as part of a thorough polishing routine. It is not appropriate to use Renomat every time you polish your shoes, as it can be too harsh. Instead use Saphir Renovateur as a cleaner and conditioner on routine polishings.

Cheers!

I meant Saphir Renovateur not Renomat. I've also read that I should use a neutral polish so as not to stain the white stitching. What do you guys use?

I was at the Alden Factory last week and I saw a big stack of either #4 or Ravello shells and they had a tag on the top which said Cap Toe Boot. I asked of they were going to be sold in the USA and where and they said, "yes" and "unfortunately we can't divulge that." Keep your eyes opn.

Saphir renomat is never needed for any shoe especially not for an Indy boot. Just wear them and let them break in
