I can't believe I have a school orientation this evening. My god, how time flies.
Anyhow, yes Virginia, it is a four in hand.

Spoo one of these days I'm going to break down and buy those shoes instead of just complimenting yours, but not yet. Glad to see the tie is being put to good use :)

Which?

(Sorry about the poor light! Really need to take up these jeans!)
Hard choice, you have a pretty cool hairdo so no need to cover it with a hat, but then... i like the hat!

Lufty, from a color standpoint, today's fit is fine, but unless Philly is a lot colder than NYC, you're kinda pushing the fall season breaking out the camel's hair, and even with your predilection for a sack-suit fit, the jacket seems a little large on you, sir. Sorry to say . . .

You're right about the camel hair. I woke up late this morning and just grabbed some items.

I'd like to think that any pear-shape effect is more due to camera angle than anything else, as this coat fits me really well in the shoulders.

Trying to experiment with mixing patterns together...pass or fail?

Forgetting about the colors for now, the lines in the PS are too similar in scale to the lines in your jacket pattern to look right. Go with a solid white linen or any pattern that isn't made up of stripes or lines, such as polka dots. I think a nice polk dot PS would be ideal for this jacket. Now you just have to pick the right color. I can't tell from the photo what to suggest. I would need something more accurate.

With the right PS I would go with a solid shirt. I don't think strips with a POW plaid work (unless it is an extremely subtle POW and even then it has to be just the right scale of stripe). We will see the recent trend of trying to mix multiple stripes and plaids fade soon. It comes up every ten years or so and dies because it rarely works well. But it keeps the fashion stylists busy for a season or two.
