Where can i buy some cheap button downs? (college budget)

Since loosing lots of weight, ive really been trying to up my style. I have way too many t shirts and polos and am in really need of some casual button downs. I need something very casual for school and going out in the afternoon.

I plan to match them up with various chinos and clarks desert boots.

Where would you recommend?

well im pretty new here and dont know a lot about where to go for quality button downs or anything but try the gap? jcrew or something. gap.com seems to have a decent selection for reasonable prices

jcrew on sale, spend the $10-15 to get them tailored, you'll have a nice shirt for $40ish total

for a college budget i would suggest j.crew when their stuff goes on sale. most of their shirts can be had for 20-30 dollars.

i think they usually have a big sale in april. not 100% sure on this.

Try tj maxx, burlington coat factory or some other sort of discount chain. Being a cheap college student myself I find myself there at least once a week. Found a few good ones, its hit or miss though.

For dressier shirts, Gap's fitted shirts fit very nicely with pretty good quality fabric. Feels much more robust than H&M's shirts. Fits better too, in my experience.

For casual, American Eagle's vintage fit shirts aren't bad if you can find ones with minimal branding.

J.Crew's tailored fit washed shirts are actually slimmer this season than they were a year ago (higher armholes too).

J.Crew also offers a discount for students.

If you live in NYC, Uniqlo is a good option for nice but decently priced dress shirts.

Just go into the store and tell them you're a student and you'll get it (10-20% i forget). I don't know if they do it over the internet.

For some reason I can't find tailored fit shirts on their site... or a discount for students.

There somewhere on the site, keep looking. Discount's in store only - will probably need a school ID card.
