Today I received another pair of Corthays I had ordered. Since the style is unusual even for Corthay standards I thought I'd post some pictures.
They actually had this model (Mahler) in this colour on display at the Rue Volney and I fell in love with it the first time I saw it.
I am aware it's not everyones cup of tea but then, I always enjoy the pictures of rare shoe models posted here and hence I hope others will appreciate these.

Not for me, necessarily, but I can see the inherent appeal.

Unusual indeed but nicely executed nonetheless. Kudos to you if you can pull them off with panache.

They look flawless. I'd wear them but I think my wife would walk a few steps ahead.

I really like Corthay, but I admit these are not my cup of tea. I do respect anyone that can pull off such bold coloured shoes though.

Looks like a juicy apple. That would take someone with some serious flair and career latitude.

No, no, no, what's the deal? I have never actually pissed on a pair of Berluti shoes. As much as I detest some of their designs, I admire others and certainly wouldn't urinate on aany of them. Remember: I actually owned a number of their shoes and still own two pairs. It is just that at some point I came to realise Berlutis are among the worst value for money on the shoe-market.

The colour is absolutely stunning....
I have a pair of bespoke derby from Delos coming up in september in the same colour...........
Absolutely beautiful .....I do like the shape but i'm a bit unsettled by the top part (coup de pied?) of it...
As you have said in the introduction ,not for everyone but the Corthay brothers immense skills are on display....
