You've not been tuning in lately - the Van Dyke was removed some four to five weeks ago, to much acclaim around here.

I'm going with PTW's understanding of the challenge, so I voted for TTO, Fred49, and PTW.

I wish I had a better set of pics for you guys showing the context. I just ran out of time and when I got home I realized I had left the cord for my camera at work. I was going to skip this one entirely, due to the lack of good pictures, but I felt that the minimal amount of entries could use a little boost.

My vote was between DandySF and Aeg...very similar shoe...how Dandy doesn't have ANY other votes, and Aeg is leading, while the have VERY similar shoes, and look philosophies, is beyond me. I went with Dandy because I felt some new blood would broaden our horizons a bit.

Aeglus showed a complete outfit, so you can see how the shoes work.

aeglus & TTO for the best intergrated overall looks while still retaining unusual shoes. Spoo for the fu. PTWilliams would have got my vote except for three things: a) the thread-bustingly large second photo; b) the trousers are way too tight at the waist; c) the overall look doesn't live up to the shoes. The shoes alone though, really are the Spirit of the Contest.

The Brunelli Cucinelli pants were my size, 38, but they are way too tight. Maybe the Italians don't get erections, or if they do, they want to broadcast it, or maybe even if they got them, who'd notice?. I made sure I didn''t look at some of the avatars before my daughter took the pictures. I've thought of posting a poll of whose avatar you'd most like to sleep with, but my post pretty much automatically end up in Dumb Threads. I can't even post a thread about pleated pants without it being moved. God knows, I am sexually attracted to some of the avatars on this forum, I have wondered why guys choose them. When I read the intelligent commentary of the post I associate it with this beautiful sexy woman of the avatar, confusing as hell. I have to work on the image size, image shack used to adjust size, photobucket has a bandwidth problem, imgur doesn't adjust the image size.

This challenge didn't quite come out as I expected. I apologize for that, I really thought it could be interesting. I had a pair of wine suede chukkas prepared for this, but had an unexpected rush of work and couldn't participate myself. However, the people that posted all deserve lots of praise. I almost wanted to vote for everybody.

upr: I think you pulled off those loafers very well. Something I want to learn to do as well.
aeglus: this looks awesome, voted for you.
TTO: again, I think your fits was the best. The shoes are very unusual and the whole outfit just works with them.
o/o: great use of tassel loafers, they look very natural on you.
Threadbearer: those boots look great with jeans. A very casual and elegant look.
NYR: wow, those chukkas rock! Are they Sutor?
PTW: I love those shoes and they work great with the pants. The only reason I didn't vote for you was the v-neck under the shirt, it was too much.

You are one of the funniest cats on here, and the recipient of my vote for this week's contest. Well done.

BTW - If my avatar is included in your above commentary, unsubscribe.

Obviously there was a divergence of opinion on how well I did, but thanks for the comment acecow, and yes, I won the coveted Voxsartoria "what the f**k does it mean that he voted for me?" award this week. (For the record, Vox and I did have a few PM's as to its meaning, which clarified nothing, but made for some very entertaining correspondence.)

And, of course, it should provide endless hours of entertainment to the posters at the Coven of Trolls, as do most postings over here. That's a public service, no?

Had my week been less "Let's be in by 8 and out (hopefully) around midnight" I'd have been offering up my ego and self image as an alternative. Hopefully next week...
