I love edium gray flannel and if one is worn in Texas it seems like it would have to be the Smith's woolen 11-12oz # 2546. It has a very light feel to it while being very soft. It wears as cool as you can ask for from a woolen. I had Chan make me a DB in this and I love it.

Otherwise a fun Summer odd-jacket seems ideal for your situation.

Have fun with the selections!

Seersucker suit or madras sportcoat? I like Vox's 14oz cream linen suit alot and will probably order one for myself soon. You seem to be pretty well covered in the suit category, maybe add a few more sportcoats? A brown with cream windowpane?

FWIW: another vote for mid-grey flannel.

That style and fabric wouldn't be my personal preference but it has to be said it fits you very well. Tailor in Galveston or did you come up to Houston?

Thanks, all.

I'm really enjoying it, despite the fact that a 14 oz. flannel is a very seasonal indulgence in these parts.

To each his own. Suit was made by W.W. Chan, a Hong Kong tailor that makes periodic visits to the states (twice a year in Houston).

Fantastic. I love the trousers with the forward pleats, and the fit is impeccable. I do find that Chan's buttoning point is always an inch or two higher than I'd prefer, but it's not a flaw, just a preference.
