i owe you a more detailed answer.

these shoes are in the stage before the first try-on fitting.

the lastmaker, Mr. Kalman Berta, knows Mr. Kiss' work and the fact that there will be some tweaking done, which is normal for custom made shoes.

when you go through our measuring method for long distance, you'll probably find out, how we approach to the topic.

during the communication with a customer, we figure out with him in which stage he wants his paprikas sent. some want to work on them himself i.e. dopey, some want to change bits and pieces i.e. ajv, etc., etc., etc.,

when i sent the brown pair out yesterday, there was no creasing at all. service is our success

For what I've seen, yes.
Sorry fritzl.
The OP is "sturdy" and "primitive", IMHO.

The upper leather is OK, the lining so-so.
The heel is just "ugly"
The shoe trees are not "lasted," actually they don't fit the shoes.

They may be full of history and tradition, or may have a story behind, may be some big brand also have similar problems on their shoe. They are not what I am looking for, and not my idea of "well made" shoes.

i really respect your assessment.

...but calling the heel just ugly, sorry. you should know better about balance.

the most important thing. our customers love their shoes, for one reason or another.

ajv proofed that you can make sort of a showcases, but we bring them "raw" to the world of shoe lovers.

take it as it is,

when i started with them, i had no idea of this project ever coming up. it's still what i'm looking for in a pair of shoes and fit is paramnount.

...and i still hold the comparison to the VASH, sorry

I hope, you included the main measurements.

Without the various circumferences, the outline means nothing at all.
The circumferences (in connection with the outline) will give the depth of your feet.

"ugly" may be overstated, but it is hardly called beautiful.
and also I really mean the toplift, not the whole heel, so it is nothing wrong about the balance of the shoe.

Now that we compared Mr Kiss's orthopedic homunculusi to VASS can we make a relative comparison with Berluti? I really do wonder how they stack up....

Why do you want to compare 2 type of shoes which are completely diffferent in their philosophy?

Operation Paprika is very clear ...They offer rustic shoes not polished end of market patina crazy shoes...
