To find German Army Trainers go on German ebay and use the following search terms:

-bundeswehr turnschuhe
-bundeswehr hallenschuhe
-bundeswehr sportschuhe

Be sure to email the seller (I used bablefish to translate) to make sure they ship outside of Germany.

^^^Getting a response and for them to ship outside Germany seems like a real chore. I have tried a few times with no luck.

Why non-Albins? I think the crinkle leather Albins are one of the better offerings in their current line.

i've got a pair of leather mujis in the shape i paid $30 for, real nice, black leather sneakers just not my style

There are a lot of SF-approved sneakers in this thread. There are also a lot of NON-SF-approved sneakers (some of which are truly terrible) in this thread.

such as? most posted seem pretty basic albeit the velcro pumas that were posted
