Thank god my friends are all done with their weddings. Jesus. Kenneth Cole makes some respectable suits too. Black is your friend. So is Navy.

Follow up with soap and water (alcohol also dries leather out) A faster-drying solvent like toluene or xylene might be worth some thought. Those are used as ink-printing solvents more than alcohol. Art-supply store. Or take it to a dry cleaner and let them take on the responsibility. You ain't the first to dip your pen in the office ink...

I had some J.crew shirts tailored and told the guy to slim down the arms. Now theres some pulling in the chest, but the tailor didn't do anything to slim down the body. Any idea why slimming the arms would make the chest tighter?

^^ I'd guess that the tailor adjusted the armholes somewhat.

may be not the right season, but what do you guys recommend to wear under your trousers in the winter? do you guys have long johns stocked up? it's just a bit uncomfortable, IMO, to feel both pairs of pants on my legs. maybe really thick wool pants? (sounds uncomfortable)

Get two pairs of trousers, one that's wool or lined for winter and one that's cotton/linen and unlined for spring summer, or just stop standing around in the wilderness

Long johns rock, man. I have five pair, and depending on if I move farther north I may get more.

Trousers in heavier fabrics aren't uncomfortable at all. Just warmer.

cruise the j. crew discount racks at a regular store and see if there is any summer 2009 stuff left - you might get lucky - i got a khaki linen suit for sub-100 this way. otherwise, this looks decent and cheap.

Before I go out and buy a gallon of white paint and make my own, does anybody know of a cheaper alternative, with a similar look?

I'd also be open to similar beige, suede trainers with the gum sole. These pumas are the best I've seen so far:

but I can't find them anywhere.
