The weather in NYC and the holiday this past weekend were perfect for this type of colorful patchwork madras jacket. I almost wore my patchwork Madras tie yesterday (I settled on a pink/green/yellow paisley Lanvin tie I found last year for about $12). I also wore red-brick bottom saddle shoes.

Nevermind the criticism about the fit -- very appropriate for your age and size.

finally congrats on the GQ and Complex magazine print features. Goes to show how much influence the internet is having on print media.

Charle - no problem I hear what you're saying it was a photoshoot the pictures/poses are in variation some had two buttons done , one undone. Truth is trousers are killing it though lol still learning everyday I'd say. A tie or bowtie would make it a tad bit formal in my opinion I left it out lol. In fact I wanted to sport some khaki chinos.

edit - Thank you Funky - the weather was perfect for such you're right. Yes, transcending from online to print is something interesting , surreal at that!

Only C_N can get away with not knowing what he is wearing underneath. (BTW, was it by any chance the sweater vest evident in other pictures?)

+1. BTW, vox, do you feel striking differences when wearing the different poles of your bespoke globe as far as overall fit, percieved tightness and muscle relaxation are concerned?

Wow, great run guys. Too many to name or requote but just wanted to say there's a lot of inspiration here. Uh, gotta go hit up the tailors so I can wear half my stuff already.

The Steed items are more pliable and flexible in movement, and more comfortable. The MBTâ„¢ items are stiffer in feeling. Some of this difference is cut; a lot is in how it is put together; and some is from the differences in fabrics. Nearly all of my plain weave/fresco items are MBTâ„¢, with all the Steeds except one being in flannels or smoothly finished worsteds.

We're not talking huge differences, though. Even my RTW is reworked substantially for fit...I'll have things taken apart more than most guys might attempt. Just to get a RTW collar fitted (I usually have to have the back shortened), I'll have all the collar seams opened at the neck and shoulders, then pinned until I like what I see in a three way mirror, and then resewn. And so on.

Turnbull & Asser. Picked it up from the B&S forum here, I think.

Yep, as you can see by my requoting it above! And I agree that a blue tie with that combo is a good general rule... but I often end up doing something a bit silly as an experiment!

+ 1. Throw in shoulder padding removal/replacement and working buttonholes and you can easily add $300-500 to the cost of the coat, perfecting fit alone.

Converting one button jackets to three roll two can be free, though, but only with the right tailor.

Hey! Hey! Watch those French remarks! Some of us have 'real' heritage to our mix!

Without 'US', the first 2 would still be having issues.
