Plus, my threads derail rather quickly these days which keeps them short and relatively little drain on the site.

Seriously, I like shoes as much as the next obsessive but really do we need a thousand pages of photos. That's got to have an impact.

I'll contribute 10 global warming threads and 10 tax-related threads to get the ball rolling.

Don't know if this is the right place for this, but I've had a really bad time connecting to SF during HK daylight hours for the past couple of days. Using Safari (and Firefox) on my Imac - ironically, I can sometimes connect with the crappy internet browser via 3G on my mobile phone...

Anyone else having problems? I've reset Safari twice already.

I've been experiencing Mantonian issues as well. lately.

I've noticed recently that the list of currently active users is no longer alphabetized, making it much more difficult to determine if a particular person is logged in. Can this be changed back?

Really? Since it was announced that the issues had been lessened, I've had very few of the hang problems that occurred for the weeks leading up to that point.

Was mentioned a while back that the alphabetizing was causing things to run more slowly.
