Very good fit for a gift. You might want to think about a little waisting but it's pretty good as is.

I love the Scabal fabric (and I like the cut). Bow tie is great, but not with the button-down IMO.

I don't object to standard ties or ascots with button downs, I just don't like the way the bow ends and buttons form a visual rectangle.

Yes they do. Pity as the SC fabric looks nice through the blur, overall combination and fit looks promising too.
