I don't like it either. Anyway those are just $120.00 so I shouldn't really expect much.

Not sure if these are seconds. But they were on sale in the Gilt website last October from $320 to $120.

It's their entry level. For $120, I think they're fine. What I don't like is that they're partially lined. That makes for a very light shoe, but also one that lacks structure (esp. in the heel pocket) and 'collapses' easily.

Forget cry - I feel like throwing up now.

Also - some food grease spilt on my brown suede ones last week and now I'm going crazy trying to get them out. I've heard magical things about the Saphir suede cleaner so I'm hoping it will do the trick.

This is why I can't have nice things.

Only slightly because my shoes are still stained. Or rather, one of them is.

Anyone have any experience with the following products? This is from the Avel (Saphir producer) website:

-
if the stain is greasy Terre de Sommières AVEL will help you to absorb most of it (if it is dry, cover with an absorbent paper and warm up with an iron to take off the maximum). Use the Stain Remover HUSSARD Spray Leather and Textile to eliminate residue of fresh still liquid greasy stains or sebum (greasy secretion of the skin).

TRINI, yes - Terre de Sommières is pure magic. I can't think of an equivalent in the US
