The solid tweed fits me extremely well, which is why I went for it. I think it's patterned on their Ludlow suit jacket fit, since it's a bit slimmer than the Aldridge suit jacket I've got. I used the red phone for the sweater, so we'll see about that.

I really like it when j.crew actually goes with real jacket sizes (i.e. 38R, 40R &c.) instead of approximate sizes like small, medium, and large. Their "small" seems like a weird mix of sizes, like a 38R shoulder with a 40R body, and it always fits strangely as a result.

I think you'll like the cardigan. Don't freak out if it seems a little big at first. This sort of sweater is supposed to be a little generous in fit.

The last time I went to J. Crew I couldn't find any urban slim fits to try on. If the J. Crew officer ones fit nearly as well as the RRL ones (which I love) I'd be extremely happy. In my opinion it looked like there was a slight flare at the leg opening which added to my not liking it. It doesn't help that a 31x34 doesn't exist.

RRL officer chinos are definitely slimmer than the J Crew ones.

I tried on the tweed sportcoat the other day, and I agree it's a nice jacket. Has anyone tried the herringbone one?

I don't see a flare in my officers chinos. I own 4 pair, btw. I love these suckers.

They fit true-to-size.

I got the J Crew x Russell Mocs in the mail today and really like them. The laces are wimpy but the shoes are very comfortable and the leather looks sweet. The fit is my standard dress shoe size (or Clarks DB's) and it's perfect. I can either go with or without socks. When I wore them with light socks the fit is a dream. Here are some fit pics with various pants...

Shown with officer chino's. I pulled the pants up slightly to make the focus on the shoes...

This green flannel is really starting to look good to me. I just added it all up and I want about $750 worth of stuff. I need to slow down. My AMEX is going to melt.

On the female model, all that stood out to me on that flannel was the white. I'm still undecided, but I don't think I'll be going for it.
