For some reason I thought that the peacoat retailed for a lot higher than just $500. Thought it was between $800-1000.

on a separate note, what is this!? lol

The toggle shawl from the beginning of summer is way better.

Really? I don't know about a toggle shawl, seems awful IMO. Let's agree on this though ya'll...stop quoting that pick haha.

Canadians who've ordered online: is it better to have them/UPS charge the duty/tax with your order, or to have them ship it via Canadian Post and pay the duty/tax on delivery? And if the latter, what are the chances of not being charged any?

Ship Canada Post. The last time they charged me it still ended up being a few dollars cheaper than UPS. Ive been hit by customs from J. Crew probably about 1/3 times.

    ^ go officer chino

where the hell do you eat? I spend about 50 a week on food easily.

i only eat 2 meals a day and my meals are probably smaller than the avg college guys.

i felt guilty buying my webster tartan at retail with student discount knowing that it'll probably be on sale soon

Not good to feel guilty about your purchases. Sometimes you have to have a little fun and just go full retail, especially if it's something you really want. That's my rationale--and I'm sticking to it.

No to the urban slims, yes to the officer chinos.

    J. Crew had nantucket red chinos this summer, the broken-in chino, I think. Might be more of a summertime color, as far as availability.

Are the classic-fit red chinos still around? I got them on sale for $19.99 about a month ago; I think they're a perfect split of the difference between the urban slim fit and the relaxed fit officer chinos.

I haven't seen them. They seemed to run out after that sale.
