I opted for a version of a chesterfield in velvet for my own home.
I agree with the above posts -modern stuff can be problematic on comfort.
For B+B, I tend to like the interiors they are photographed in better than the look of the furniture itself.
I've never owned any, so can't speak to comfort.

The Togo was actually the other couch I was thinking of when I mentioned the Tufty Time. I'd be up for either one if we didn't have multiple shedding animals in our household. Their hair would manage to get into every possible crevice.

The Wittmann Kubus collection looks nice, and may appeal to those less minimally inclined:

It was designed in 1910.

What kind of sofa is that, and where can I get one?

I'm a little disappointed with my Ligne Roset Smala.

Not fan of the polder though it could look nice in the proper place.

Ehh, I don't really like that Polder sofa. Too many things going on. The B&B or Knoll are more timeless imo. A couple more I like. Fabien Baron for Bernhardt and Cappellini:

When I was working at Christie's, I remember there was a Noguchi free form sofa from '49 or so that was unbelievable. Estimate was around 65k and this was in '99. I tried to find a picture, but I don't think there is one floating on the interwebz. Absolutely beautiful piece and my favorite I have ever seen.

A couch should have a back high enough to rest against comfortably. IMHO.
