I think the interesting point is that the troll was not only tolerated by the moderators, but he was actually cosseted by Kabbaz when a few weeks later he expunged the terms "slob" and "slobwear" from Andyland. I think Cruiser may have gotten kid glove treatment because he is an avowed Republican (right-wingers seem to fare much better in Andyland than outspoken liberals and leftists) and he claims to have been a Vietnam veteran. Veterans are held in much greater veneration in contemporary America than in my younger days, probably because almost every male more than a few years older than myself was himself a veteran either of Korea, World War II or World War I.
