Unknown mileage at the secret spot. My last run there before surgery on Friday.
Kind of a bittersweet time, but wow was it nice.
Cool, clear, and the trails were buttery.....Ill miss it.
No watch, no music, just the forest.

Antirabbit- good luck with the surgery!!!

Yesterday - AM: 6 at MP in the heat in my new Nike streak 3's (they feel pretty damn fast)
PM about 10 w/ 3 mile w/u, drills 16 x 400 w/ jogging recovery and 2.5 down. 400s felt great!

9 tonight through an unpleasant part of my city. I thought I would explore a little bit, and ended up running out and back through 4.5 miles of business park. Blegh! I also left some Lamb Shanks in the oven, so I couldn't shake the fear that I was going to burn down my entire apartment complex. . . . Irrational. anyways kept the pace very slow as my body mandated after a very hard day yesterday.

Last run will be tongight. I figure Ill just go, again with no watch or music, in the forest preserve (not secret spot, Im still sore from that, oddly, I think I run harder and faster with out knowing my pace). I think I will do a twilight run to close down my running

11 easy miles in the forest preserve trails this afternoon. It got dark and sprinkled.
Still, it was wonderful, everything is greening up so fast.
It was a good run.

Haven't posted in this thread since I haven't done much running worth noting in the last several months. Now my friend convinced me to run a half on June 19th and am aiming to for 1:40. This wouldn't have been much of a problem before but considering the shape I am in now it will be somewhat of a challenge.

Ran 9 this morning in 1:10. Perfect weather with a light mist the last half. Longest run so far this year but needed to get it to kick start my training considering I am only about 6 weeks away.
