Looking for a classic, but modern watch

So, I've been on a hunt for a good, classy throwback to a classic wristwatch. I thought that I had found the perfect one in the Henry Watch by Marc Jacobs - but everywhere I look it's sold out. (It retails for $150, but it supposedly went down as low as $85)

Anyway, I really love the look, the classic black strap, super simple and clean lines, the light stainless steel, the big white face - everything. I like it all. Except I can't find it (for under $150).

Does anyone know of a similarly styled alternative - preferably one under $100?

What do you look for in a watch?

Seiko 5. TONS to choose from. Got mine on clearance online for $55. Best value under $100. Bar none.

The Mark Jacobs name in place of numbers or markers ...
... really ruins what could have been a simple look.

It seems that you are enamored with the Bauhaus aesthetic (like me). Very clean lines....simple and functional. I know it's a lot more than you want to spend but please consider spending a bit more and get a watch that is not only pretty but will last years and will not be looked down by any watch connoisseur.

Maybe something like the Nomos Club (available at watchbuys.com):

Or a Stowa Antea (german-watches.com)

The Nomos is my favorite of those above ... this also came to mind ... but would be better with a white dial.

I understand how you like the simplicity, but imo it's completely ruined by the branding. Just saying 'Mark Jacobs' across the front might be acceptable (though would be better if it was the name of a company which actually specialises in watches), but saying 'By Mark Jacobs' all the way round the edge really isn't...

Listen to the people above and get something like a Stowa or Nomos.
