I realize that, ass. This is a subjective topic and I gave what I feel are 10 movies that everyone should own. I didn't go around bashing other lists even though I may not agree with them.

You should also add "The General" to that list. It's been a while since I've seen it, but it was great.

PSA: Amazon has some amazingly cheap prices on blu-rays/DVDs this week, including a fair number <$10 (and not just ****** movies).

Wow, took until the bottom of page five, and have only seen it mentioned twice. The Godfather should be on this list IMO.

There have been many excellent recs here. I didn't see Citizen Kane yet, so would like to add that. In no order:

Godfather I
Citizen Kane
2001
Clockwork Orange
Run, Rabbit, Run
Travolti da un insolito destino nell'azzurro mare d'agosto
Blade Runner
Snatch
Highlander I, Director's Cut
Rocky Horror Picture Show

Highlander is damn entertaining and got that semi-kitsch flavour that takes it over the edge. I never feel like rewatching Citizen Kane but give me touch of evil or lady from shanghai and I'm good.

I was torn between Citizen, Touch, and Dial M. What most people fail to notice with the original Highlander is, they really employed all the art of really shooting a film, a la Orson.

Even though it's a sequel, it had a completely different feeling to me. It is a great movie however!
