Really? I think you can pair a bunch with them, red, green, gray, even orange, and plaids. Your tartans are begging to be paired with navy, Robert, listen to them.

Yeah navy is a really easy color to match.

Exactly. I think it's time to get with the program and bring the armholes up on all their knits and sweaters. Armholes don't sit that low on any human being so it makes no sense to me.

I agree, particularly for men. For women, their color palette is well diversed, but for men, they stick to the conservative/conventional tones, time to diversify yo' bonds Jacrew. Though even if they offered different colors, I probably still wouldn't purchase. Why? Low armholes.

Navy is the second easiest color to pair with tops (after gray). Seriously, anything in a muted, dark (or semi-dark) shade would work. My go-to combos are navy pants/chinos with a white dress shirt and a v-neck in these colors.
-charcoal or heather gray
-dark purple
-other shades of navy
-burgundy or wine (favorite)
-cream

Add a tie for a touch of color if you think it's too muted.

I hear you on that, I always am looking for some unique colors in my knitwear. I own a purple cashmere cardigan and a green cashmere cardigan (both from last year) that I get a lot of use out of during F/W. The problem for J. Crew is that I got both of them near the very end of their holiday sales at deep discount. We're not like most guys and most guys aren't going to go for colors outside the usual black/brown/grey/navy palette. They tried a couple odd colors last year with their lambs wool crewnecks like a wasabi-esque light green and a couple brighter "berry" colors, all of those colors were languishing in their final sale.

J. Crew actually has a couple less conventional sweater colors this year. They brought back the purple color for their cashmere cardigans. I like the heather ochre and twilight colors they have for their lambswool sweaters - they're close enough to straight tan and standard navy to appeal while still being less common colors in menswear.

I bought a couple of the berry color sweaters last year at end of season, a crew and a v, and I like them quite a bit. Nice to see some color in my sweater line-up. I also picked up a heather green v-neck late in the srping that works well with a bunch of stuff.

Think I want to pick up that purple v-neck this season, and one in dark-red/wine if they have it.

Can someone send jack this thread, and ask him to make the sweater armholes higher, cause we are all complaining they are flying squirrel style?

Robert I elect you

thanks
