Steeze.

I don't even understand steeze well enough to write a bunch of pseudo-intellectual bullshit about it like I've done with some other things. Anyway, it seems that some people have always had steeze, but I'm sure others have assimilated some. I get that fit/skinny people usually look steezy, but then so do EG models, who aren't especially skinny or muscular. That new guy who posted the uniqlo green ocbd/cheap monday white jawns/rapists fit seems to mostly wear topman and uniqlo stuff, yet he looks better than most posters on here who spend 10x as much money on their clothes. So, what is steeze, and, assuming it can't be "studied," it there any way to pick it up? Waking up one morning and suddenly just not giving a **** is really hard for OCD mofos like me.

People with "steeze" don't make threads like this. Not to crap all over your thread, but there's at least some insight in saying so. Caring this much about it and thinking it over like this is like the complete antithesis of it. Also, you're in high school.

Yeah, I get it. I don't have any steeze, at least compared to a lot of you guys on the internets. What I'm asking is whether it's possible to stop caring and thinking so much about this stuff. I care and think too much about a lot of insignificant things, clothing is just one of them.

well, I think you think about it so much b/c you seem insecure about yourself (and I mean that in the nicest way possible). You seem to want to achieve "effortless perfection" - but you're missing the key ingredient - effortless.

It's sort of like you're looking for the rules to be a non-conformist...but by definition there are no rules. Don't get me wrong, you don't want to be a Derek Huizenga (from the infamous thread on MC), but all you need to be a non-conformist is a thorough understanding of the rules, an appreciation of them, and the wherewithall to break them at your will, whenever you want, provided you justify your choices.

The most confident dressers on here don't care about the rules. They know them though, but all of this can't be provided to you in a list forum- it's the way YOU look, so do what YOU want, other people be damned.

Honestly, you're in high school. Go focus on dating as many girls as possible. Don't care about this **** so much. Approach it from the perspective of a professor, and not the male version of a character on Gossip Girl.

Yup. It's the roman noodle chomping, sufu-mass-neg-repping, 15 year old hypebeasting twin brother of "sartorial". WTF is wrong with "style"?

To not be a complete dick:

After some experience and trial/error, dressing yourself and creating decent outfits becomes easy and more fun than a chore like it is now for you. Then it's easier to feel confident in whatever you wear and generally look relaxed. Most importantly, just let it ride for right now. In like a year or two ****'ll be easier. There won't be a moment or instant that changed everything, you'll just realize that **** just ain't that hard anymore.
