Zippy, what size did you get the cages in? I think I am an 11 uk starr, I can't remember(I had it at one point but returned it).

50% off at the LA store, too. They had 4 different color Starrs (a red/brown suede, a cigar brown, the "hurricane" tan, and the tan "oakwood" suede).
I just polish mine with a neutral polish. Doesn't really affect the appearance of the shoe.
Starr's were Goodyear welted for sure. I believe they still are, however Miller's (which look a lot like Starr's) are cement soled according to GetSmart. I believe GetSmart heard from an SA that Starr's will eventually be cement soled as well, however, I'm wondering if there was a confusion between Millers and Starrs because they are so similar.
