Why is it so hard to find a plain tie that's 9cm, <$90?

I'm trying to find a tie with the following features:
  1. 3.5 inches (8.89cm - 9cm) in width
  2. Relatively light (so probably silk, and not cashmere etc)
  3. Wearable in court/very formal situations (so not Shantung silk, grenadine, knit etc)
  4. <~US$90
  5. Plain matte navy or dark maroon (can have slight texture etc)

It's actually impossible.

  • Kent Wang doesn't have plain ties (except for cashmere ones, which are too thick IMO to wear year round).
  • SuitSupply ties are 8cm.
  • Boggi ties are 8.5cm.
  • Shibumi is beauitful but doesn't have plain ties.
  • Drakes is out of budget (and also are 8cm for whatever reason).
  • Spier and Mackay ties are 3.25 inches (8.255 inches).
  • Chipp doesn't have plain ties except for Shantung silk (and the one plain non-Shantung navy tie they have is out of stock)

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Not a fan of used ties (so no eBay etc please).

The faille will not be very shiny.
Dark Navy Faille silk
When you checkout in the notes area please tell us the length, width and main knot type and you can mention a small knot. If you ask for a narrow width such as 3 inches the knot will follow and tend to be small.
