I got Shun knives because of Michael Anton. smdh. I returned the favor by recommending Swaine Adeney bags to him. Truly a different time. I should go now.Yes, knife enthusiasts also fight about the fact that 99% of people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two in use.......
That being said Japanese knives are clearly better.
I can sense their scorn through the fields their silent displeasure generates.I think audiophiles just look down on normal people silently. Cable fighting is mostly internal, sort of like how dogs will get mad at each other but not humans.

Me too! I bought a Shun because of him. I mean, it's not a bad knife, but I feel like it's not that great either. I wish I went to Japanese Knife Imports (I think that's the name of the store)

That's hilarious.
I come from the Single Malt community and the general attitude there is non-judgemental. It's all about personal preference. Nobody would look down on you for drinking that inferior swill called Bourbon.
In all hobbies the Law of Diminishing Returns rules the day.
Okay, light schedule today so I went all Zegna with sport coat, shirt, tie, and dress pants. Feels like colorful armor actually. Sport coat is 100% Mohair which I was skeptical of at first but it wears incredibly cool.
Is this a good place to mention that the linen Bresciani OTC socks from the Armoury are simply amazing? Hope they last more than one season.
Single Malt community clearly too buzzed to look down on anyone. Also....bourbon should clearly be looked down on. If I wanted dessert I'd order dessert.
I think people should enjoy whatever they enjoy. the hobby is decadent (and not really) enough as it is. But i will say that Bourbon does have the stereotype of "try one and you've tried them all". Which is true to an extent. It's all matured in fresh American oak, therefore like with all cask/barrel driven Whiskies you're likely to get similar taste profiles across all Distilleries.
I prefer barongs when it's really hot.I can't believe you ignores the timelessness of the short suit.
This isn't that hard. It's not like the vest is a literal uniform, as stipulated in the employee handbook. When it's hot, you don't wear it!
Sometimes it's hard to believe any of you exist in the real world--at least, as you posture on the internet. For those of you who religiously wear suits everyday: I'd love to hear about where you live, what you do for a living, etc. I fully expect <<crickets>> or blatant lies, but would love to be proven wrong.
as a professional gigolo, I wear a suit everyday. have you never seen the hit Richard Gere film about my profession?
FWIW, I work with dozens of people who wear suits everyday (including women!), typically senior administrative staff/academic deans.
Every day. Can we separate the haves and have nots by grammar?DC where us govt schleps have to wear suits everyday. Can pull off blazer or sport coat and dress pants combo quite often.
