Late to this thread but in HK financial district area...
70% of office men are wearing dress shirt/suit/no tie (when it’s cold enough - collared non-polo shirt and chinos/dress trousers otherwise when it’s too hot) - except on Fridays
Sport coat odd trousers on like...2% of the men. It’s just not a thing here
I see like five people wearing a tie a day (usually people going to meetings/court etc
