What's your experience been with Allen Edmonds Factory Seconds / Shoe Bank purchases?

Looking to take a chance on some Seconds today. I have my cart loaded up, and, unless the Seconds will also be included in the upcoming AE sale (rumored for 3/31 or 4/1), I'm tempted to pull the trigger given that there's an additional 20% off on Shoe Bank right now.

Since the ones I'm interested in are not final sale, should I just get them and return if they have noticeable defects? What has your experience been, overall? Any success or is the stock comprised largely of stinkers?

Factory seconds require a 25 dollar restocking fee. Do not buy them willy nilly.

I have found that factory 2nds have been all but indistinguishable from factory 1sts. Usually it is a minor cosmetic flaw, or if not, then it is something like the customer asked for dainite and they got JR or something.

Placed my order earlier today. I figure that, in the event that I find any blemishes I can't live with, I can exchange them for firsts during the upcoming sale and avoid the restocking fee.
