What were your college graduation gifts?

I did not receive any gifts when I graduated from university, but to be honest I wouldn't expect any. My parents helped me pay some of my tuition, which was definitely generous enough. My whole family went out for lunch afterwards, which was also the case when my brothers and sister graduated from school.

It sounds cheesy, but family support is much more meaningful than any present!

College for free, probably a nice watch and pen, and a few trinkets and knick knacks + cash from the rest of family.

I'm scaling my high school graduation up.

Do I deserve it? Probably not, but it's a nice piece of tradition I'd, myself, pass on.

Got a stirling silver fountain pen, part birthday present part graduation present.

I got a nice dinner at a steakhouse and that was it. My father is also giving me a nice share of a business worth several million bucks and helped me out in a million ways, though, so I'm not complaining.

It will be a kind, token amount of money and something tasteful such as a pen (I actually use fountain pens). The (small) trust fund that paid for college, the family's jewellery from imperial-era Germany, a future inheritance, and (most importantly) saintly grandparents are the real gifts.

Man, I got screwed. I didn't even get a dinner. Actually, I think we ordered pizza or Swiss Chalet that night. But my Mom didn't even go to my grad ceremony, she wasn't "feeling well" :-S

I don't recall getting one. However, my parents did take me to lunch.

my mother asked me what i wanted to for a gift (this was for high school graduation, just this june) and i realized this would be an opportunity to buy/receive something id never really have the freedom of budget to buy new (and, trust me, its impossible to find double monks in a size 14.5w thrifting/styleforum/anything). so yeah, a pair of monks.
