Bosch is back on Amazon
Is it as good as the books?
About as good as that translation can be in my opinion. Connelly is involved in the production and it shows. Some license is taken but the plot line are pretty true to the books in flavor. I say this as someone who has read every book written by Connelly and consider him my favorite writer of that genre.

Finished Bosch last night, love the show and the books.

I'll check Mosley out . I really like books from that genre that are true to a place like Connellys LA. James Lee Burkes Dave Robicheaux books are spot on to Southern Louisiana, a very unique place and my home for the first 20 years of my life.

I overlapped in college with Alafair Burke and have a couple of mutual friends. Someone I’m playing D&D with knows her pretty well I think.

Did you catch Connellys cameo in the last episode . He says hi to Billets walking through the squad room.

Waco was good.
Like there's flaws with some of the character development. Its well acted but nothing really quite comes all together. Its good. Certainly far above your average streaming output but nowhere near peak tv (if that makes sense)

Quarantine good is a better descriptor.

I can’t stand depressing shows or whiny teen drama anymore. Like, Oh, woe is me, when will Travis ask me to the winter dance? — SHUT IT, BEESH, PEOPLES ARE DYYYYIIING!

I just binge-watched "Preacher", as it was available on a streaming service (not Netflix) here in Australia.

I really enjoyed it. There were a couple of flat episodes in the later seasons but, in general, it was very good. I read most of the graphic novel series when it came out a couple of decades ago and didn't mind that the story and timeline had been rejigged to some extent.

I also thought that the actors were very well chosen for the roles. The series features high-level violence and is very profane, but enjoyable.

Went to a Connelly talk last year at the NLA he provided some interesting insights about the series. In particular how Titus Welliver got the role.

Read most of the books, such a great series.

The Capture BBC great Ideas and very technology dark reminded me of the original Edge of Darkness. Then...the ending made me furious it was just so wrong in terms of story arc.

No one wants to watch irish feet only dancing or first world people playing homeless assholes.
Did you know we (Society) are celebrating the 20th anniversary of "Billy Elliot" this week?

I came to this thread expecting a solid recommendation, fresh, yet inevitable.

Please deliver!
