Strange. I turned it off. I thought it sucked.
Well that's no shocker to me. I think many would hate this movie, so confusing and if you are not in to the computer thing it would suck real bad. But for me it was a real star movie!

Margaret lined up for tonight. Heard great things about it. Anna Paquin is kind of popsyesque.

Aliens

Definitely much more of an action film than Alien but very good and really stands up to the test of time. I think I was watching the special edition or something...not sure what is changed compared to the theatrical version.

If it's the director's cut it has:

Footage of the peopel who lived in the colony on LV-426
Footage of Newt's dad exploring past where he was supposed to and her dad being seen with a facehugger attached
Footage of the sentry guns in the hallway running dry
A dialogue between Paul Reiser and Sigourney Weaver where she learns that her daughter died while she was in cryosleep

Well Margaret was very interesting. Great central perfomance from Anna Paquin and all round. Nice tone, cinematography and direction. Probably one of the best movies this year so far. Not surprised it sank Stateside.

Beasts of the southern wilds was great.

I heard it was supposed to be a really great movie. Too bad Houston is a cultural wasteland and only one theater is showing it :(. Do you think it's worth an hour trip to go see it?

Nah. Not worth an hour trip. Not even if it was total travel time. Get it on DVD or Netflix when it comes out.

Really want to watch moonrise kingdom this weekend. Seriously kickass cast and I've enjoyed all of anderson's films thus far

Just watched Die Mommie Die. Highly recommended! Very funny sendup of campy, overly dramatic 60s film noir holdovers. Don't expect a laugh-a-second comedy; instead, it's a great (but not too serious) study of the genre.
