I think a fedora goes very well with a suit. I'm assuming you'll be wearing a overcoat as well. A fedora with an overcoat and a contrasting scarf is very masculine and I think stylish. Ivy caps are OK but not with a suit. As for your ears? They'll warm up soon enough.

I think you'd be just as well off to stick with the beanie. It serves the purpose of keeping your head warm and I've seen guys pull the look off quite well.

+1

A hat is not keeping your ears warm, and personally I don't like the look of ear muffs (alone or in combination with a hat).

If you really want to wear a hat, you could try the contraption from hatcozy.com, which I think looks somewhat better than ear muffs.

Just curious, but do you care to share why you need a hat that covers your ears while wearing a suit? No pressure. Seriously.

Yes I forgot to mention if its cold enough to wear a hat I'll be wearing an overcoat as well. I get cold very easily and get ear freeze outdoors.
