A vacation to Japan. Also, while I was there I got a sweater at Japanese Brooks Brothers and it actually fits! (still had to go down to XS).

After taking care of everyone else (wife, parents, doberman) for Christmas, I treated myself to:

Tan Flat Head Belt

New Pair of Sugar Cane 1966's (both items courtesy of Self Edge)

And 2 new Purple Label Corduroy sportshirts

And now everyone in the family is happy.

I waited until the after Christmas sale at jcrew and got myself a hoodie, flannel pajama pants (best buy this year, so comfy and warm), and some broken in chinos. Now, I'm keeping an eye out for a sensible watch for under $300. Probably something like a Seiko Kinetic Arctura, Coutura (not at this price) or something similar.

A "pre-loved" Nissan Murano, since I've had it with driving stick shift during rush hour and not being able to see around every other truck and SUV in this city.

Now that my wife and I have finally had our private Christmas, I may get myself one or two things.

A few pocket squares from Kent Wang. (My wife got me a pair of his cuff-links which I love)

And I think I'll hit FB, Syms, etc. and see what's on sale, if anything.

I actually got free "damage insurance" or whatever it is called on my last windows based laptop and it came in handy a couple of times...it was free though as my school has a huge contract with the company that used to be IBM and I bought it through them. I was meaning electronics warranties as far as dvd players, iPods, TVs and that sort. The damage insurance for laptops if cheap is a decent investment especially for younger people.

Funny enough, the grenadine is the one I love the least. Not that there is anything wrong with it. After seeing Will's grey and green post on A Suitable Wardrobe, I realized I should have gone with a stronger green like bottle or forest. And I should have gone for burgundy tipping on that one. Oh well, it just means I'll have to order more.

I went a little nuts on my self this Christmas season. A new desktop PC, a new POS camera, an LCD television and a scanner.

In my defence, all but the scanner was to replace stuff that had died or was growing obsolete and I am embarking on a year of buying nothing but essentials. I've been spending way too much lately -- my bar tab for 2007 would be alone enough to shock people.
