It was delicious for sure. Been into the blancos, overproof or not, over the reposados and anejos as of late. The 3 was good, but not in my palate’s desired wheelhouse right now.

^^ I’m definitely in a Blanco phase, but it just wasn’t “exciting” I guess. Was super smooth etc. But, you know the drill… often, once a spirit gets aged past a certain point, you’re kinda’ just drinking the barrel. Yes, I absolutely know there’s many exceptions and I’ll be the first to drink those aged exceptions myself! It was certainly tequila still, but meh.

Think these Arettes are the Orendain family’s cheapest? Additive free. Work great in both Margaritas and Palomas. I realize some may balk at my “sugar free” syrup (not to mention the lime juice!), but this stuff is great IMHO.

What’s your preferred margarita recipe with those ingredients?

Hmmm, I kinda’ just freestyle it, but:
1.5 Blanco
1 Reposado
1 Lime
.75 Grand Marnier
.5 Syrup
Shake it vigorously in the shaker with crushed ice. Strain into double walled glass with the one large cube. Was out of my usual Tajin for the rim. Also, if my trees had oranges, which look to be a month or more away, I’d add a squeeze of that in and cut back in the syrup.
