Depends on how wide your feet are. Many people will say down .5, but my wide feet meant that I go tts on them (my virgil size).

I was all set for getting the brown kangaroo Virgils this spring but since @KamoteJoe posted his pics of the 7 holes I am now torn. I really like the olive/brown colorway joe has though, not the olive black everyone seems to be carrying.

Medium width. As a reference, I found the Zermatt boots and Blackfoot moc toe boots to be TTS (maybe not the most common references, but what I have tried on). On the other hand, I have found FBTs to run about a half size small. I have never tried on Virgils so I don't have that as a data point.

You’re lucky since that one is readily available. I don’t own anything black so I tend to avoid the color. They are nice in that color too though. I actually didn’t like the 7 hole style at all until Joes posts.
Grizzlys are growing on me too now but those are so casual that I’d need to get them for cheap to make it worth the lack of versatility for me.
