Sorry if this has been covered before but does anyone have tips on removing/reducing scuffs on polished cobbler? I admit I have not tried yet but given the feel of the finish I am skeptical that normal polishing will do the trick.

So what was the damage? Sounds like you need legal advice regarding the traumatic effects of that update. Hell, I suffered vicarious trauma myself.
The entire bottom of the box was torn open, but luckily did nothing to the contents and they taped it all back up. It did trigger my PTSD. (Post traumatic shoebox disorder.)

Maybe someone thought they'd be Prada shoes and when they saw the label, threw them back in.

Does not look very deep. A little wax polish should cover those nicely.

Shell Sunday. Florsheim PTBs rebuilt with JR soles, toe taps, grommets, and cat paw heels.

The laces are from Mad Dog, which come with a lifetime warranty. No fraying or breaking, which is great because I go through a pair of regular laces quickly.

Wishing you all a nice finish to the weekend.

For Wingtip Wednesday, I received my first pair of vintage shell that are actually my brannock size. Every other pair is 9e, 9.5d and 9ee. A few pairs of 9eee will be sold off.

I'm going to have a cobbler rebuild. I'll tear them apart myself.

I also received my first pair of shell boots for a killer price. Excited to have both pairs in my collection.

WW! These arrived dusty and dry, but in overall good condition, so I cleaned, conditioned and brushed. I think they'll be alright. There is noticeable cracking on the tip of the tongue, which I'm sure a cobbler could sew on a 1/2" wrap-around patch the width of the tongue. Date code is illegible.
