If you wear an 11.5A you might want to check these out from the 1969 catalog.

Wore the Florsheim Varsity LWB in Weathered Moss to church today. My wife liked the spiffy shoelaces.

Has anyone heard of Wall-Streeter shoes? They seem to have been making shoes in the US until the 1970s. I saw a nice looking pair being sold at a local shoe shop, just not sure how good they are.

edit: Oh, looks like they've been bought by Florsheim. But they had to close the factory after 1 year, some models made in 1974-1975 probably were made there.

They're marked 11 D; not sure whether that's british or american sizing though. They look like these, but with a rounder toe.

Fully realizing I do not NEED additional shoes I found myself bored and in need of retail therapy. I found some MiUSA black shell LWBs. Vintage shell can be a crap shoot as some are fine and others have rapidly advancing dry leather rot, also known as RADLR. (That's not a real acronym since I just made it up.) In this case close examination of the photos gives me the impression they had a considerable amount of bloom that had been brushed off before the photos. Bloom is a good thing and usually indicates the leather still has waxes and fats that are coming out. So, with the assumption that residual bloom is still seen, I rolled the dice. We shall see how that turns out. Then again, maybe I am just trying to find a way to justify yet another pair of shoes, which is fine.

These shoes were on ebay very briefly today. Really cool pair. Gold welt. No medallion. Pretty sure these were made in the 1950s.
