Here are mine from the sample sale! Thinking of selling the tan horsehide boots since I just scored the bourbon shell boots

If anyone has some slippers from the sample sale they don't want for a 10/10.5 on brannock, shoot me a pm!

I know it’s not from the sale but just picked up the service boot in aged bark. I had no idea that it was a soft out suede, pleasantly surprised. For some reason in my mind I thought they’d be a waxed leather or suede. Really beautiful, I know there is a lot of hate for them on this thread. Only imperfection on saw on first glance was what looked to be a pen mark on the vamp. Otherwise construction is beautiful.

Chelsea / zip boot owners: How tight were your boots at first across the instep / midfoot, and did that get better with time?

Got a pair of horsehide chelseas from the sample sale. I went with my 2030 size (7.5 for an 8.5D brannock, slightly wide and short). They fit well in length, but they're really tight across the middle...I wore em for a couple hours last night and the outsides of my feet are a teeny bit bruised from being corseted in there. (They're a bit tight at the pinkie toe, but that happens for me with a lot of boots)

They're gorgeous boots, and I like to wear my chelseas tight...but maybe not this tight. I don't know how much of it is just a stiffer leather than I'm used to on chelsea boots and how much of it is the boots not fitting.

Thanks. I'll give an 8 a shot. It would actually be great if that was my real size for these...there are a lot of stockists that don't carry 7.5s but everybody carries 8s.

I too take the same size in the 2050 and 2030 lasts but also only half down from brannock.

I could never wear the chelseas if I went a full size down from brannock.

FWIW I have a service boot on the 1035 a full size down from my Brannock, which is 13US. I found that the 2050 in a 12 also fit me very well. Should say that I am a textbook D width as well.

Is there? What is the reasoning?
