What are the general thoughts regarding dalcuore vs. say solito or others? I kind of like the db dalcuore style.

I'm working with Dalcuore now. It's been solid. I did not care for my interactions with Solito, and I've read too many horror stories. It depends what you're looking for, your patience and your budget.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on how they compare? I'm using Solito now that they are visiting London every month. It's all coming along very nicely.

My experience with Solito will largely be determined by him adjusting the final garment he sent. He took 2 months between final fitting and finish which isn’t an issue but I lost weight in that time so it needs to be adjusted.

Overall he did a decent job on balance & stuff. But he did miss the sleeve pitch which One of ya should have caught in the fittings stages (not sure how it wasnt).

I’m thinking about doing a db navy finmeresco from Dalcuore. I’m curious about the finishings though for Dalcuore. I was happy with the b&tailor finishings. So that’s the other option but their style is a little different too obviously.

Are you in the US? By finishings, you mean handwork?
PM me - I can take some photos of what I mean & send them to you. Solito produces a good produce, though. He was my first experience with neapolitan tailoring, so I am trying to figure out if he is indicative of others or not. I might just stick to b&tailor, but I am not sure. B&T requires payment in full, which is always a bigger hit to the budget haha.

I've never ordered from Solito. We just didn't click in any capacity. It was obvious that our personalities were not a good match, and I thought going down that path would waste both of our time and too much of my money.

(I have found some remarkably cheap but good-looking fabrics online (links below; I've ordered swatches) - I think they are remnants from designers ordering custom fabrics). If I can have these garments made relatively cheaply but with decent fabric that would be great. (I am not going to spend £60/m on fine moleskin, much as I'd like to) Any thoughts or alternative suggestions, if I haven't utterly horrified you already?

Just be aware that a lot of those links are for blended fabrics and are marked 'cotton rich' or with Tencel.

Moleskin shouldn't be £60/m either, you can get cut lengths from Brisbane Moss.

Try the below for 100% wool tweeds and suitings:

Thanks. I have looked at the fabric compositions in detail but those links you sent are helpful. Not many fabrics on offer at a comparable price to the links I found, though. I have received some swatches and the handle and quality seem pretty good to me, and certainly really good for the price.

Has anyone had this made up, or seen it in the wild? The colors on the Fox Bros site seem almost too vivid (artificially so?). I've then seen a poor photo on instagram that made the colors look too dull/washed out. I'm just trying to get an idea of the 'real' color...

From my experience I would guess it to be a little less vibrant. I have seen it in the book, but do not remember exactly. Why not have them send you a swatch?

Argh, I've been looking for some heavyweight sharkskin (16oz) but no luck.
H Lesser does one.

Probably a bit less refined, but the P&B Universal book (also from Harrisons) has a few options.
