How much is steed mtm??? I might have to try it if its that cheap!

From what I recall (although it’s possible they’ve increased):
Half-canvased jacket = 750 pounds/~$1,000
Full-canvased jacket = 950 pounds/~$1,250

I honestly don’t remember the suit prices at half/full, so don’t quote me, but I’d assume an extra 200-300 pounds for the trousers.

I did one full- and one half-canvased jacket and I don’t notice any appreciable difference so I intend to stick with half, hence my “2x for Formosa” assumption, which could be totally off-base.

To replace all the suits you stole? He might need the new fabric earlier today.

750 / 1,050 pounds for jacket / 2 piece suit currently (guessing half canvassed from what I recall of how they structure their offering). I believe fully canvassed is/was an additional 250 pounds.

Has anybody made something up in Minnis 510244 dark navy mock Leno? Thinking of using it for a sportcoat. It's my first MTM commission and would be a workhorse navy jacket for a job where nobody expects me to dress up but myself. Haven't found any high res finished project shots

Paone has made up quite a few. It's good stuff. You won't regret it.

Gents, I am doing couple of Minnis Rangoon 8/9 oz suiting runs in dark grey and blue grey (like RAF grey) in nailhead design. Rangoon is a discontinued bunch but some yarns can still be had to produce limited designs. Think of Rangoon as a slightly lighter and more porous version of say Lesser tropical worsted. After some testing, I've settled for these two. I will submit orders in early September and expect delivery before Christmas. Please PM for details if you are interested. Thanks.

We'll be using it in our Cavour RTW jacket program.
Very nice for an unlined spring/summer jacket. And even for year around wear if you don't live in a very cold area.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I live in a very warm area - I'm happy to hear that this is a cloth a lot of people have considered and are pleased with. Excited to receive the jacket in a couple months.

Random questions for you guys who use italian tailors. Are you happing with the extended front dart on your formal/business suits? Have you ever asked your tailor to move the extended dart to the back of the jacket (does that make it a side body)?

It’s good stuff. A great go to navy blazer. Tons of visual texture, and tremendous resiliency to the fabric. You won’t be disappointed.
