Hey gang,

If this economy doesn't clobber me in the next couple of months

I'm thinking of commisioning a rather 30's-40's era odd jacket, DB, and two pairs of trousers, full-legged. The jacket would be a warm mid to lighter brown likely in gaberdine.

For the trousers, I was thinking of getting one pair matching to make a complete 2pc, and for the other, a pair in a light warm gray.

About those gray trousers- if I had them made in flannel of similar weight to the gabardine, would the two pair OK? Or would I be better off getting the same gaberdine?

Originally I had thought it would be all flannel, coat and both pants.

In the 30s they paired the gabardine jacket with flannel trousers:

I don't really care for gabardine, but if I wore a gabardine jacket, gray flannels would be my choice.
