Guys, I'm trying to get a group MTO with Richard for a chukka with a toe medallion in green shell.

I'm thinking--

W2298 last
Dark brown Barbour welt
Black Dainite sole? (not married to this)
Blind eyelets
Calf lining--looks like colors available are Natural, Dark Green, Vintage Green, Dark Brown, Navy Blue, Black, Orange or Red.
Pull tab?

Richard said we should be looking at the end of October hopefully.

Thanks!

I'd be in for it.

I'd vote for a light welt but not married to that.
Also no pull tab.

Thanks, zippyh, for posting that. I think you're right--a chukka would be better without the pull tabs. Black Dainite sole's okay?

Black Dainite works.
There's a dark brown Dainite that would look good too.

Hi guys...just an FYI

I am starting a one off MTO with richard at shoehealer and wanted to know if anyone wanted to get on board to get rid of the one-off premium they charge.

If no one is willing, I'm ok to cover it but just thought i'd ask...this is fairly similar to one that was just done.

Mixed media black longwing as follows:

black pebble grain lower
black shell vamp/tongue
black pebble grain lace stays

81 last (standard longwing last for trickers)
sole: commando
welt: storm

lining: electric blue
pull tab: royal blue
eyelets: black metal
edge trim: painted black.

lastly....any idea as how the 81 last fits in comparison with the barrie from alden?

this order would be confirmed in september...delivering before end of november hopefully.

with the one-off fee, price is 495 pounds. without that extra fee, i suspect it will be much less...closer to 400 pounds. I will confirm this with Richard.

Past group MTOs have been the price of stock models so probably around 340gbp including VAT.

The shoes are in! I just paid my balance and (judging by previous experience with the Shoe Healer) they should be on my doorstep in just a few days... Hopefully Hurricane Sandy doesn't delay the mail coming across the Atlantic.

Super excited! :slayer:

Can't wait to get mine too, these will be my third brogue (the Thom Browne one and the recent Junya x Tricker's)

just from the past year, I am liking black shoes more than brown...don't know why...
