H&K tie sold in France are made in France (it is Hilditch)John Comfort make good albeit machinemade ties -- they make or until recently made the ties for your favorite, Hildeetch. Â
Drakes is one of the best makers of ties in the world -- I'd say one of the top two or three in England. Â Also very classic in general.
Gieves and Hawkes and KFS are the names of two Savile Row tailors. Â They don't make ties; someone else does for them or for their licenseholder. Â Probably decent quality.
Michelsons was a good British tiemaker. Â The recent stuff I've seen from them is complete ****, although the old stuff is nice. Â They were bought by gigantic silk company Mantero. Â Michelsons was also the parent company of the wonderful tiemakers Holliday & Brown, a personal favorite.
Some of their ties in the Paris shop are made in France, others in the UK -- I saw this myself last year. All the ties in the Paris shop are handmade. I am not sure, thus, if John Comfort made the handmade England-made ties in the Paris shop.H&K tie sold in France are made in France (it is Hilditch)
You are a tie seller in you rspare time or lawyer for a tie company .??How do I know all this? Â Perhaps all will become clear in December...
Well, the French-made handmade ties in the shop might be made in Paris for all I know. I thought they were pretty good quality too.The colored hair asshole of the shop in Paris told me ties were handmade  in Paris and that he was chosing the fabrics (he likes glorifying himself = he told me the girl welling wasn't his collegue nut he was her chief.)

Drake's makes beautiful 50oz ties - I have 2-3 of them. Kilgour and Gieves are famous Savile Row houses that have diversified into shirts, ties and other accessories.A friend from Atlanta sent me many ties today (thanks Jerry).
I didn't know most of the brands. Do you know them?
- John Comfort
- Gieves and hawkes
- Kilgour, French and Stanbury
- Drakes's
- Michelson
Shoot, now you tell me: I saw a beautiful Drake tie in the Netherlands two weeks ago, brown and cream, and did not buy it because I didn't recognize the label and wasn't sure of the quality..Drakes is one of the best makers of ties in the world -- I'd say one of the top two or three in England. Come on, at least dare him to walk across the pÃErnest, I'll take a pass on the cheap chinese. Â Maybe a sandwich grec frites (because I like it the lamb) or an orange pressee at La Mosquee de Paris?
I am not a (Jacamo) jockey nor a towel (handler) nor a sand (wich).I'd rank Holliday and Brown at least as good as Charles Hill. Â HB ties are also self-tipped, which I believe CH aren't. Â T&A allegedly have their own tie-making factory for a few years. Â Allegedly. Â Whoever makes the Hilditch & Key Finest Silk - Hand Made collection is up there as well. Â One of the best ties I own.
