Purchased this suit for my brother's 26th birthday present, size 46R. Too good to be true. I'm pretty sure this suit probably cost several thousand dollars for original owner.

Construction - hand basted canvas front with hand padded lapels. Handsewn shoulder and armhole. Handstitched lapels and pockets. Handsewn buttonholes. Handsewn Mezzaluna tacks on the pocket corners. Handsewn silk lining. The trousers have double forward pleats, vertical on seam side pockets, no hip (back) pockets, a handsewn curtained waistband, a handpicked fly and pockets, handsewn bar tacks, and handsewn buttonholes. Two FOB coin/watch pockets. Lined in front and back. 2 inch cuffed hem.

Special Detailing - four inside pockets including a pen pocket, all faced with the shell fabric. Handsewn boutonierre loop. Functional handstitched buttonholes on the sleeves (the bottom three only - the top one is faux so the sleeve length can be adjusted.) Real horn Mariano Rubinacci Napoli signature buttons. Signature striped sleeve lining.

Fabric - a medium weight dry worsted wool. Hopsack weave.

What do you guys think?

Rubinacci also makes RTW. If it says 46R then it's not bespoke. If it doesn't have a label with the ID of the original owner (lettered on a manual typewriter), it's not bespoke. That said, it's a very good price for a Rubinacci RTW suit.

At any rate used bespoke is not always a great deal because it can be difficult to get a good fit.

Thrift? I'd say it's a reasonable price for used RTW; a good price, if it fits well which is much more important than labels/ provenenace/ handwork etc.

Very very nice suit, but I know a guy who found one for less than $20 iirc... @eazye
