You must be joking right? I have never met a straight man who knew which stones go with which months.

Well look who came back...

I don't know which stones go with which months (and I don't really care either). I did this before for another woman a few years ago-- a necklace and a pair of earrings made of Citrine (November), Me and @Kid Nickels were inquisitive because because he didn't have to ask what her birthstone was if he knew her birthday. Suspicion could be aroused, and she may see the gift coming from a mile away.

I don't even know what your point is and to further imply some nexus between knowledge of a subject and sexuality is not only unwelcome, but certifiably ignorant. Let me clarify for you who is apparently slow on the uptake. The OP mentioned his girlfriend "let it slip, that sapphire is her birth stone". My comment was made under the assumption that he would almost certainly know what month her birthday was and could then proceed to Google to look up the birthstone for that month. I think it reasonable to assume her birthday is not a state secret or classified info... got it there Lady ****-nuker?

I have neither seen nor heard a couple (in a committed relationship) that didn't know the birthdays of each other.

Indeed but ask my husband what my birthstone is...he doesn't know and unless I dropped huge specific hints that I would love jewelry made with them he wouldn't think to look it up just for the hell of it

Birrthstones are daft just like horoscopes, energy stone and other scams trying to make people feel like special flowers, good for the guy who doesn't know his wife's birthstone, as he's clearly the sane one.

I'm talking about guys not knowing what their wife wants needs right down to simple **** like a day planner or a plaid.

This.

She might see it coming from a mile but hey, I'm not getting her something she isn't asking for and probably won't like.

By the way, please don't go to Zales, Kay Jewelers, etc. They were busted for selling fake stones..

Put water and a drop of soap in food processor. Process. Rinse and dry.

No, dude. It's much easier to use a knife, get **** all over your hands and a cutting board, and then wash your hands, the knife, and the cutting board.
