Places that have those little scraps of carpet under the urinals.

I get that it saves you from having to send an employee in there all the time to mop up after the dribblers and that you can pull the rugs daily and send them to the commercial laundry...

...but it's still weird to me to intentionally keep a piss-filled rug around.

Even when i was at my fittest point of my life, I’d still get winded going up even a relatively short flight of stairs. I asked a couple of family friends who are college and high school athletes, and they said “oh yeah, us too”.

I think there is something about the initial climbing that causes your heart rate to elevate or something. I used to do the stairmaster at the gym a lot and would always feel like I was dying 2 minutes in but could easily go for 30 minutes.

That first hike up to the chair lift in ski boots at 8000ft🥺
