There's a trend of people putting "cute" stickers like the one on the car on the left on the back of their SUV or Minivan to show the size of their family. Mom, Dad, x number of kids, dogs and cats. The XKCD comic you quoted is mocking them.

Why I never feel rested, or refreshed when waking up. No matter how much sleep I get. I always feel like I died in my sleep and I am being jolted back into existence with paddles every damn morning.

This. 1,000,000 times this. The only time I even get close to feeling rested upon waking is if I get to sleep in and I've been in bed for nine or 10 hours. Other than that, getting out of bed is pure misery, even if I've gotten a good night's sleep. Once I'm up and moving I usually feel fine, but that first little while is a hell I have to live every single morning.

It's all about REM/deep sleep, once I figured that out things improved significantly.

As far as the stick figure family trend goes...


... A guy in my apartment complex has a stick figure family on the back of his car. He's wearing a a suit with a briefcase because he must go to work, that's his job. But his stick figure wife is wearing a skirt and holding department store shopping bags with big sunglasses. So basically his wife is a selfish child.
